July 2013 By A Navy Vet...VT town - Following three sets of people, this book is filled with both heartbreak and hope. The day starts out calm but soon goes to calamity. From earthquake to fire to tsunami, one feels the pain and heartbreak for the characters.I like the fact that the characters cover a range of ages and professions. The oldest is 72 and the youngest is 12. And, they are an exciting but different mix of personalities. The imagery is superb, as well. I had to laugh when John and Rochelle were having such a tough time in the truck. The idea of both of them "opening and closing their mouths like goldfish" is something that grabs your attention..Hope is the only element left for them. The world they once knew has shattered in a just a few hours. On to Sturbridge...Highly recommended..
The First tremors of the earth were felt at 7:22 EST. time. Every single person felt the rumbling, and experienced the tremors that would forever alter the course of history. Most did not survive. These are the accounts of some of those that did. *Note* This book is the first compilation of a serial story. The ongoing weekly chapters are released to the public for free every Monday on the Erica Stevens blog and Facebook page. The second book, The Divide, is currently in progress. *Due to language and graphic content this book is recommended for readers 17 and older.
